I’m Manos, a native Greek speaker from the island of Crete. I offer Greek tutoring to all levels and ages. I was a teacher and private tutor for 12 years, so I have a significant amount of experience teaching all ages (young children - adults).

My approach to teaching is using fun activities and art while learning. Fun has a positive effect on motivation levels, determining what we learn and how much we retain. If the experience is fun, learners will stay curious and keep coming back for more. My goal is to convert the learning process into a fun project.

Culture and history are unique features that I bring to my lessons. I am Cretan and live the languages that I teach. I bring the authenticity of the languages into my curriculum and projects, which is a valuable and exciting component to learning languages and being exposed to the culture. I understand deeply the Linguistic Historical evolution from the artificially constructed Erasmic pronunciation of ancient Greek to the Hellenistic Era and Alexander the Great, trough the Byzantine Empire the Koine language and the nowadays spoken Greek.

How I structure classes:
1) discuss your goals, strengths, and weaknesses
2) create a personalized lesson plan for you based on your learning style
3) provide feedback and optional homework to help you accomplish your goals
