CANCELLATION, REFUND AND PAYMENT POLICY

This Policy regulates any purchases and payments made to Wiziya. Please read it carefully.

This policy applies to all services and features made available through the Website and any related Wiziya mobile device application (collectively, the “Services”).

The Company

Wiziya acts a tutoring agency for services provided by tutors to students, by request, delivery and payment for such services. We are not a party to any contracts by tutors, students, services or materials. Wiziya is not responsible for any transactions between students/parents and tutors.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Lessons can be cancelled or rescheduled anytime up to 24 hours before the start of the lesson, in which case you will not be charged the lesson fee. If you wish to cancel the lesson after this time, you will be charged the full amount for the scheduled lesson, without being refunded or transferred to other tutors. This is true, unless the tutor agrees to discuss and come to an agreement with you, in this case you will not be charged. We understand that in rare cases, extenuating circumstances leads to short notice cancellation, and in those cases refunds can be made at the discretion of the tutor, but there is no obligation. You can cancel/reschedule lessons through your client portal anytime up to 24 hours before your lesson. You must provide a reason for the cancellation/rescheduling, which will be forwarded to your tutor.

Changing Your Tutor

We want you to be satisfied with the choice of tutor you make, and therefore, we guarantee your right to change tutor in case you no longer wish to continue with the current tutor. If the tutor doesn’t suit your needs, you have the right to choose another tutor. We will then transfer your funds to another tutor.

Refund Request

When you buy lesson hours, your client account at Wiziya will receive credits that you can use to take lessons. If a lesson has been cancelled/rescheduled at least 24 hours prior to the lesson, you will not be charged. Instead, you will receive the credit in your client account at Wiziya. If you would like to get a refund, this can be made for any cancelled lessons 24 hours before the lesson is due to start. Please email wiziya@protonmail.com with the following information within 24 hours of the original lesson time:

  • Date and time of lesson
  • Reason for requested refund
  • Your tutor’s name

We are not responsible for any fees charged by your bank or any financial institutions, and we do not cover these fees when we issue refunds. The transaction time to receive a refund solely depends on your financial institutions terms, please consult them. No refund will beissued in case the user has lost and/or forgot his/herlogin credentials (username and passwords), which has resulted in loss of data, temporary loss of access to the user's account or any other inconveniences for the user.No refund will be issued in case the user has lost connection due to the absence of Internet access, factory reset or updates.

The refund decision shall be made up to 30 calendar days.

Chargeback Related

In the event of a chargeback by a credit card company (or similar action by another payment provider allowed by us) in connection with your purchase of any lesson(s), you agree that we may suspend access to any and all accounts you have with us. Fees, incurred as the result of chargebacks or other payment disputes brought by you, your bank, or a payment provider, and disputes that require accounting or legal services shall be covered by you.

Account Deletion

You may request to delete your account at any time, however, there are no refunds for cancellation.

In case Wiziya shall suspend or terminate your account because of breach of any of our policies, you understand and agree that you shall receive no refund for any unused lessons or for anything else.

Payment Services

We use third party payment services to bill you through an online account payments instead of directly processing your credit/debitcard information. Your paid balance for one or more lessons is safe in your account and our partners-payment providers (Stripe) and tutors get payment for each confirmed lesson. Correspondingly all transactions are secured as our partners-payment providers use SSL encryption protection. All payment information is securely stored and encrypted. We do not store your payment information on our servers.

Booking Services

We use third party payment services (Simplybook) to book your lesson. The information you provide on the booking page is safe in your account. Correspondingly, the information has SSL encryption protection. All payment and booking information on the third party booking site is securely stored and encrypted.

Personal Data Provided By You

You agree and understand that billing information, which you provide to make payment for lesson(s) through Wiziya, namely your credit card information is processed by our partners-payment providers (Stripe) only. Wiziya does not collect, store or otherwise process your billing information. You agree that Wiziya will not be responsible for any failures of the third party to adequately protect such information. The processing of payments will be subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of our partners-payment providers in addition to this policy. You acknowledge that we may change our partners-payment providers and require them to transfer your information to other service providers that encrypt your information using secure socket layer technology (SSL) or other comparable security technology.

Payments and Taxes Available

All payments shall be made through the Services. Upon receiving payment from a student (or a parent on a student’s behalf), Wiziya will hold such payment and disburse it to the applicable tutor on a per lesson basis. All Users agree that they will not sell or buy tutor services or materials from another User other than through our Services. Tutors, students and parents will be liable for all transaction fees on the services related to the delivery and consumption of services through our Website.

Registering to become a user of Wiziya is free. Parties are responsible for paying all fees and applicable taxes associated with delivery and consumption of services through our Website, as well as for using the tools with a valid payment method. We charge tutors a commission for our Services. Tutor’s failure to pay required fees shall be a material breach of this Policy and Terms of Service.

Payouts

Tutors get payment for each confirmed lesson to their account on the platform. To make the payout tutors may use our third-party payment services (Payoneer, Transferwise, Stripe) for the secured transactions.

Wiziya is not a bank or any type of a financial institution, we do not provide any financial services or advice. Any payments made via our platform are made solely for the purpose of consumption and delivery of educational services between students and tutors. Such payments may not be made and used for any fraudulent, criminal or illegal activity as defined by the law. The exchange rates provided on our Website do not always reflect the real market situation for a specified date. Such exchange rates are provided for the comparative and informational purposes only in order to help you get the best possible Services on our Website. In order to get the real exchange rates on a specific date, please, advise your bank or any other official financial institution.
